Where’s Busy started with a frustration that anyone who actually goes out has felt: the city is invisible. You don’t know which place is heaving, which is empty, which has the queue that’ll cost you your night. The technology to know — at scale, in real time — has existed for years. Nobody had built it without surveilling people first.

So we did. The clicker is the one you’ve seen on a thousand bouncers’ belts; we just put a wifi chip in it. The data layer is unglamorous on purpose — counts, not faces. The consumer app exists to give that aggregate signal back to the people who could use it most: the people deciding where to spend the next four hours of their week.

Built in Manchester, starting in Chester. It’s compact enough to get every venue that matters onto one map, tight-knit enough for a pilot to actually work, and busy enough at the weekend to feel the difference if we get this right. Manchester comes next.
